To meet him is to be changed. When he enters a room, that room is inevitably electrified by his presence. Part of that has to do with Jason’s personal charisma and style, sure, but the Jason Tesauro Experience goes much deeper than that. His success — as a writer, as a public speaker, as a sommelier, as a curator — comes down to two factors: (1) knowledge and (2) connectivity. In terms of knowledge, well, Jason never stops learning. His brain and his heart are wired to absorb as much information and expertise as possible — and to share that knowledge with the world. He knows a great deal about wine, of course, but the encyclopedia of his mind also encompasses poetry and cooking and design and fashion. All of that empowers him to foster connections in the buzzing immediacy of a moment. A taste of this dish leads him to pour that glass of wine, and a sip of this wine reminds him of that Cesare Pavese poem that he happens to have at his fingertips. None of this is staged.
